Ground Chicken Calzone

ground chicken calzone

Calzone is a folded pizza that is stuffed with delicious ingredients similar to those used in conventional pizza. However, they are more handy and portable and thus served as an on-the-go meal by street vendors and fast food stalls. They are available in various sizes, from cookie-sized to larger ones, so you can choose one according your hunger level. Whether you fry calzone or bake them, they will always tantalize you with extravagant aroma. Tomatoes, olives, anchovies, broccoli and cheese are among the most common stuffing ingredients used in calzone. But if you are looking for a more flavorsome treat, include ground chicken seasoned with Italian herbs into your home-made calzone. The meaty flavors alongside tangy tomatoes and fresh aroma of the basil gives a thrilling experience to your palate while the melting cheese oozing out into your mouth with every bite adds to flavors. If you have enough time to spare, knead the fresh pizza dough, but readymade ones will do just fine as well.
